Pennywhistle Ragdolls is a small cattery located in the Newport, Rhode Island area dedicated to raising healthy and happy Ragdoll kittens. Our babies are raised underfoot, cuddled and loved by my family and me.


Cats are like people; they have unique and individual personalities. Your home and your lifestyle will have a great deal to do with the kitten you choose to be your companion. We would love for you to pay us a visit, but as this is not always possible we will try to convey the atmosphere of how we raise our kittens and cats. We spend a great deal of time with our kittens watching them develop and grow into the little personalities that will be coming into your lives.

It is very important to us that our kittens, as well as you, are happy with the match you and I make. Therefore, we hope that you will be patient with us so that we may make the perfect match. After all this is a long-term commitment which we hope will be a joyful one.

I breed the four traditional colors and three patterns as well as Lynx, Flame?s, Seal Torties and Blue Creams. All kittens sold can be registered in one of the following associations: T.I.C.A. or C.F.A.


Ragdoll Traits

Ragdolls can relax completely or go limp in your arms.

Ragdolls love for you to hug, hold and handle them a lot.

Ragdolls are very loyal and like to be with you and share in what you are doing.

Ragdoll owners usually comment that their cats have puppy like personality traits.

Ragdoll cats are very smart and sometimes can be taught to fetch, shake hands, roll over, sit up and beg.

Ragdolls love to play and are not destructive. Their voice is quiet with soft meows.

Ragdolls must be kept indoors as they do not have inherent fighting instincts.

Ragdolls are very patient with children, and existing dogs and cats that may be in the household.
